Happy Thursday (or Friday, depending on your location in the world)! 🙂 I hope you have a great day! As for me, we’re readying for bed. I am tired. But oh so happy. And like the title of this post, I felt very brave today. My favorite color is yellow. I love yellow. I’m naturally a very bubbly, peppy, and joyful person. Yellow suits me and it motivates me. But, I’ve never ever bought a yellow polish. I’ve never felt it would suit my skin tone. But today while out on my lunch, I found a very lovely shade of yellow by Sally Hansen- the Instra-Dri brand. It’s called Lightening. And boy is it! 🙂 With my newly found “yellow” courage, I bought it!
Happy Thursday to you! I hope you have a wonderful day! Today’s post is Royal, a nice shade of blue. It was another gift for Christmas this year that I love. 🙂 Thanks! This brand is Love & Beauty. I believe it’s from Forever 21. Don’t quote me on that one. But, the polish went on very smooth and is very pigmented. Another plus.
Of course, I did my base coat, pushed my cuticles back, and applied 2 coats of Royal. I then applied a glitter top coat I have by Wet’n’Wild called Kaleidoscope. This added a nice touch. I’m not big on glitter but I thought, why not? I then topped that with my Essie Matte About You. I like this enough, but it looked better in my head when I started. Anywho, I learn as I go. I hope you like the color at least. It’s lovely. 🙂 God Bless and thanks for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday to you. It’s late so this one will be short. 🙂 I did my base coat first. It’s a must. Protect your nails from staining and an extra plus if it’s got strengthening ingredients like wheat or calcium. Then did two coats of my new color. It was one of many gifts of polish for Christmas. Thanks to all who gave me some! Love them.
So this new color is by Ulta. It’s called “Of Corset It!” (exclamation point included. lol.) This is more of a deep brown, maybe even black, with a nice purpley-golden hint of glitter. It’s very nice. And since my nail cracked and they’re short, I thought it a perfect time to do a dark color. I then topped it off with my SV fast dry top coat.
It’s not been my best manicure since I was rushing. blah. So sorry for the stuff you might see. 🙂 But I gotta do them. lol. I hope you like the color. Ulta colors ROCK!
***Mistakenly thought this was called Nouvea Vintage. The color is actually Earth Angel***
Happy Monday to you! Today is a day of resting and recooperating for my husband and me. 🙂 Lots of family to visit, lots of food and we had an awesome Game Night last night. So we’re tired but we’re thankful. God is good. So… yesterday during our Scrabble game, I noticed I had a hang nail. So I was trying to dig it out (one of my bad habits) and I realized it wasn’t a hang nail at all. My nail had split, or cracked, really high up toward the middle of my nail. It scared me, naturally, thinking I was going to bleed and have to pull all that nail, and some skin, off. Ick! So, I sat there thinking, “oh no. this is going to hurt SO bad”. lol. Well, I got it to peel off just the top layer. It left me a little thin piece of nail. So thankfully, I did not bleed out or cause myself any unbearable pain. lol. Thank God!
Ok. 🙂 Today’s color is by Color Club. We have an occasion to attend and since I practically “broke” a nail, I cut and filed all the others down. I can’t stand to have one short and the others long. Tacky. lol. So, I thought I’d stay simple and go nudey/natural. Which I really did like the outcome with my short nails. I did one base coat of my “Natural” by SV. And two coats of “Nouvea Vintage” (#922). And then topped it with my SV fast dry top coat. I love the gloss in this stuff!
I hope you like it! Have a great last week of 2011!
Merry Christmas to you! I know it’s technically Christmas Eve, but all the same, God’s blessings to you. 🙂 I’ve been waiting a long time to use this polish. I think this was the only one in my collection that I bought and said NO. I will wait till Christmas to wear it. I’m glad I did. This polish is perfect! I used 2 base coats today, to better help me with removal of the glitter. First was SV nourishing matte base coat. Then topped it with Sally Hansen’s Acrylic Gel. I did 2 coats of this color. 🙂 It’s called Star Spangled by Orly. Love it! and then I topped it off with my SV Fast drying top coat. I hope you like it!
