Orange Punch

24 Jul

Happy Tuesday, world. Another busy week has flown by. I did actually paint but I didn’t have time for posts. Tonight, I’m making time and staying up just a few extra minutes. I’m having withdrawls (sp). I got this idea from another blogger-polish lover: WorkPlayPolish. You can see her version (i love her color combo!) here.

Today’s post is simple but I love it. I find it girly and summery and I keep looking at them. I did 2 coats of Orly’s “Orange Punch” which really does look like it’d be a bottle of punch. I then painted my rings fingers with Ulta’s “Snow White” and topped them all of with SV. I took the largest (if not, one of the largest) dotting tool I have and dotted Orange Punch on the white ring fingers and then dotted the Snow White on my orange pointer fingers. Again, topped with SV. Let me know what you think! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!

Turned Up Turquoise

17 Jul

Happy Monday, bloggers and readers, alike! 🙂 I hope you had a great one! It’s been hectic and busy here. We celebrated my husband’s birthday this Saturday and they had a show. That’s just Saturday. But I finally was able to paint and post! Let me say before the day was over, I peeled this off completely. lol. Terrible habit after seeing a tiny chip. Here it goes!

I started with 3 coats of China Glaze’s “Turned Up Turquoise” (neon). It’s a bit streaky and uneven in application so that’s the only down side. It dries matte which I was not in the mood for so I added a coat of SV. I then took Finger Paints “Art You Wondering”, which is a lovely blue and green fine glitter combo polish and layered 2 coats over my ring fingers and thumbs and topped with SV. I really liked this mani! Too bad I didn’t let it last longer. I’m picky. 🙂 These photos are all with flash. Have a great one! Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

4th of July tribute

6 Jul

Happy Friday to you! In my last post I said it’s never too late to do the good ol’ red , white and blue! Well, today my rhinestones came in! yay! Here is the picture of them. 🙂

And I really wanted to use them. So i got just a little too creative and then put myself in a rut. See what came of my rut! I did all but my ring fingers based in Orly’s “Haute Red” which in my opinion is a hot as red polish can get! It’s the perfect shade. It’s a great one coater but I did two to be safe. I then did my ring fingers in Sinful Colors’ “Snow Me White” and topped them all of wtih SV.

I then used reinforcement label to do a half moon on my ring fingers with “Blue Sparrow” by China Glaze. That was a first for me. And let me say it was harder than they made it sound! My moon was quite edgy. lol. But then again, my skinny fingers don’t like to allow tape and stuff to properly adhere to them so… Yeah! I had to touch up. I then added 3 red rhinestones to each and freehanded some accents in red. 🙂 Here’ s the outcome!

Funky Nails- Fatigues

5 Jul

Hello and happy Thursday! I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July holiday. Happy Birthday, America! Woo! I was suppose to do a tribute mani but lacked the time and motivation to do so. So… I may just do one anyway. It’s never too late to sport the good ol’ red white and blue!

Ok. So the other day I posted the Fast Track-Matte mani. Click here to view. 🙂 I wore this for an interview. Yay! I really liked it. Well Funky Nails had given me 2 other glitter polishes I’ve yet to get to and swatch for her. (Sorry, Minnie!) So this post is the view of what I did to my nails that night after my interview day. I played with the “sandwich” idea. Here’s how: I had my base color, added one/two coats of Fatigues and let it dry. I then added another coat of Fast Track. I wanted to keep it matte so I added Essies’ Matte About You. It came out ok. Next time I will try a different combo. My Fast Track by China Glaze is on the thick side (the whole Hunger Games collection is, really) so I was scared the glitter wouldn’t show up at all. Trial and error. 🙂

But anyway, here is my post for FATIGUES by Funky Nails! Fatigues is part of her mini-collection called “For The Troops”!
She describes Fatigues as “Yellow, green, silver, black, gold glitter in a clear base”. I liked it on top of Fast Track.

Green Gradients

3 Jul

Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your day is going well. I haven’t been able to post since our computer is on the verge of running out of memory and was at the dr. office. My husband is a graphic designer so… yeah. We had to buy more space. Hopefully it’ll be ok now.

Today’s post is of last night’s mani. I really liked this one. I used new Orly polishes. I started with two coats of “Green Apple” and topped it with SV. I then used “Green With Envy” (which is not an envy color to me, at all) to sponge. Of course, you should always blend so I used a little more of the Green Apple. I did another coat of SV and using Sinful Color’s “Snow Me White”, I stamped with plate BM-209 and topped with SV. I hope you like it! It’s very fun! Both of these photos are with flash. 🙂 Have a great one! God Bless and thanks for stopping by!
