Frequently Asked Questions

Since I am barely starting, I don’t have any questions on here…yet. I hope I’ll get some soon. But I do get questions everyday. So that helps me. lol.

1. Did you get your nails done? Of course, I am not a professional and do not claim to be. So I tell them “I do them at home”. And I love the part where their eyes light up and then they say “Really?”. That does my heart a lot of good.

2. How did you do that? This is of course directed to any design I have placed on my nails. I do both stamping (bundle monster collection), decals,ย and free hand using skinny brush tools, dotting tools, skinny polishes, etc.

3. How do you shape your nails? I prefer my nails to be “squoval”. I’ve never been too fond of the extreme square shape with sharp edges. I like edges to be slightly rounded and smooth so as not to snag anything or my skin. lol. I’ve done the round, but not oval shape. That is also flattering. But just do what you like and what suits your hands.

I hope the list will slowly grow. Please let me know of any questions you have. I’d love advice too. ๐Ÿ™‚

How do you keep your paint job so precise and clean? Or what tricks do you use to clean up around the cuticles and sides?

Hi Lisa! Welcome to LacquerAddictions! ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy to have you here.

I try to paint as neat as possible. Using 3 main strokes, one from top-center, down to free edge and one on each side, covering the rest of the nail. when i’m done i take a very small make up brush dipped in acetone, and go around my cuticles and sides. ๐Ÿ™‚ this has improved my manis greatly! i hope it helps. i get mine from Target for $1 each.
sorry for the delay in answering your question. thank you for stopping by. have a great one!
