Happy Tuesday to you! The day is gone and I’ve got a few minutes to get last night’s mani in. I do have to say I am loving the blues in this one! I’ve had these in my stash for some time and I’ve just not had the chance to use them. Texas got a big gust of cold weather this weekend. Thank God! It just doesn’t feel like it’ll be Christmas soon if you don’t have the weather. So I thought it the perfect timing for a snowflake mani! Here we go!
I started with 3 coats of China Glaze’s “Blue Sparrow (Neon)”. It’s a very pretty fine glittered blue polish. I forgot to photograph that one by itself. Sorry! But that means I’ll get to show you again some other time, which is great since I like it so much! 😉 I then took my China Glaze’s “Dorothy Who?” and added 1-2 coats of that on each nail. Some nails it went on pretty opaque and others it was sheer and in need of a second. But after that, man! Did it shimmer and sparkle. Here is my combo of the two blue beauts.

I then took my Red Angle stamp plate: RA-119 (my only snowflake) and with Sinful Colors’ “Snow Me White”, stamped one big snowflake on my thumbs and more partial snowflakes on my ring fingers. I added small blue rhinestones just to try them. I didn’t like them with the mani but once you got them on, there’s no turning back. lol. Here is my snowflake finale! I hope you like it and I hope it snows where you’re at. Thanks for stopping by for Day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas mani series here at Lacquer Addictions! -Sara
Happy Wednesday and happy painting! Today’s post is one I did not want to feature. I’ve been wanting to attempt a black tip mani for a while now- amongst all the other “want to try” things. So I finally did it. Let me say, as I’ve always said, I am not a taper! I can never get my tape to lay flat and even- maybe my nails are just anti-tape? So they’re no where near what I wanted or was trying to get. Sorry! But, trial and error, and then I can say “no more”. 🙂
I started with one coat of China Glaze’s “Fast Track” (Hunger Games collection). This polish goes on thick so one coat was all I wanted-otherwise it would have been too… creamy? I topped that with SV. I then stamped my ring fingers with plate BM-225. I love this stamp and my ring fingers are my favorite in this mani. If that makes sense?
I then taped off my tips. I used Sinful Colors “Black on Black” and had a few touch ups to do and then moments when I just wanted to rub it all off. But I stuck with it. From far away it’s not too bad but the up close- that’s when you’re like, “Yeah. She’s not a taper.” LOL! But, either way! Here is my black tip mani!
Happy Tuesday to you, Lacquer Lovers! 🙂 It’s been a great weekend here, for me and the hubby. Labor Day was a nice laid back kind of day and we are thankful for the day off. Today’s mani is inspired by one I’ve often seen on Pinterest. You can click here to view the photo I was inspired by. I just didn’t have the right glitter (can you believe it?!) to add that accent. I plan on getting one soon.
I started with base coat and then with China Glaze’s “Rose Among the Thorns (Neon)”, I did a few coats on each nail. This color takes about 3 coats to be opaque. It’s still a bit translucent on a few of them. So it takes some patience. 🙂 I coated my ring fingers with Ulta’s “Snow White” and topped them all with SV. I then used Sinful Colors’ “Black on Black” and plate BM-201 and stamped my ring fingers. I really liked the outcome. Very retro.
Sorry about the long-in-between posts periods. I may have to officially do a “once a week” type thing. We’ll see. But, thank you for stopping by. I hope you try this lovely chevron mani and I hope you have the glitter! 😉 God Bless and have a great week! ❤ Sara
Happy Friday to you! This has been one crazy week. It’s been busy but I’d rather it be busy and fly than slow and drag. So… I missed Pink Wednesday this week. Grr. I’ve really been itching to do a pink mani lately. I really loved the Denim to Earth this week but I just didn’t have time to do anything. Only reason I am now is because I napped this afternoon, into the evening since my husband didn’t wake me up. I felt good but then I was like, “NO!”. And then I was like, “Yay! I can paint!”. So, here I am. 🙂
Digging the name of this polish? Lol! This is China Glaze’s “Naked”. Boy, do i LOVE this color! I was going to go for a super popping pink. But I saw this one, and realized it’s too pretty not to have used it yet, and opted for this lovely soft, feminine color. I did two coats and topped off with SV. The application was smooth and easy. It’s shimmery with fine glitter. I then used my Red Angel plate RA-109. As I said, I feel this a very girly color so I opted for a single floral image-Sinful Color’s Snow Me White- on my ring fingers and added some “bling” to the middles. Love it! And, I feel it’s work appropriate. So if you’re looking for “work” manis, give this bottle a go. I hope you like it and you feel pretty in your pink! All these photos are without flash. Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!
Happy Monday, bloggers and readers, alike! 🙂 I hope you had a great one! It’s been hectic and busy here. We celebrated my husband’s birthday this Saturday and they had a show. That’s just Saturday. But I finally was able to paint and post! Let me say before the day was over, I peeled this off completely. lol. Terrible habit after seeing a tiny chip. Here it goes!
I started with 3 coats of China Glaze’s “Turned Up Turquoise” (neon). It’s a bit streaky and uneven in application so that’s the only down side. It dries matte which I was not in the mood for so I added a coat of SV. I then took Finger Paints “Art You Wondering”, which is a lovely blue and green fine glitter combo polish and layered 2 coats over my ring fingers and thumbs and topped with SV. I really liked this mani! Too bad I didn’t let it last longer. I’m picky. 🙂 These photos are all with flash. Have a great one! Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!
