LONG time no see Laquer addicts!
It has been an amazing journey since my last post. I have a 9 month old little boy who keeps me plenty busy. I was going through my blog, since it’s been a while since I’ve even opened it, and thought I’d share at least one mani I’ve done since then. 🙂 I am painting a little here and there- Mostly when I am going through my sleep roller coasters and cannot sleep. I no longer have a good camera and cannot take micro shots or even good color matching shots. That has also been a reason for not posting or blogging in a while. But… I hope you are doing great and your digits are wonderfully colored. Let’s get this going!
Below is a mani I did for my sister. She had just bought this beautiful Essie in Butler Please at Target and wanted to put it to work right away. This cream polish was a beaut from the shelf and even better once applied to your beds. It was a bit streaky but evened out with a second coat and some SV. I “unsuccessfully” stamped her ring nail with Bundle Monster’s 221 plate and had to free-hand some of them. I was so happy with the outcome and so was she! I then took some gold studs and glued them and topped everything off with Essie’s Matte About You. I do wish I had her skin color. 🙂 It’s so hard to photograph my nails and get the right tones with polish and my skin.
Happy painting to you! Thank you for stopping by! Blessings! ❤ Sara
welcome back to Lacquer Addictions! 🙂 It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to post! Things finally feel like they’re starting to wind down. We still have a lot going on, the Lord’s work never stops, but it’s nice to take a breather every few days.
Today’s post is a new color. I got my hands on a pretty, duo-toned Nicole polish. In the bottle, it’s a deep blue with gray tones but purple shimmers. One way you see the blues and the other you see the purples. I love it! I did two coats on all of my nails. Again, in some lighting, you see the blue, sometimes it looks black, and others you can faintly see the purples. It was very hard to photograph. I then did one coat of one of Essie’s “luxe effects” polishes- Shine of the Times. I didn’t like the whole thing in flakes so I opted for an accent of the flakes. I went over that and left a small side of the flakes peaking through. I really liked the outcome. I then accented my thumbs with the same flake polish. It feels good to paint and post. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by! I definitely missed this. God Bless!
Happy Friday world! I have an interview today! 🙂 Please pray for me. I’m excited. I wanted to stay away from tips-very cliche’. So I opted for a clean calm color.
This is 2 coats of China Glaze’s “Fast Track” (of the Hunger Games Collection) and one coat of Essie’s “Matte About You”. I really like the outcome. The matte really makes the glitter go “pop!” These pictures are without flash. Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by and God Bless you! -Sara
Hello all! 🙂 I hope you are having a great day so far! Today’s post is a short one. I really liked how this one turned out.
My base color is of course, Essie’s Over the Edge. It’s a very pretty shimmery coal color. Love it! Did 2 coats and topped it with one coat of SV. I then chose my Red Angel plate RA-102. I stamped with Sinful Colors’ Snow Me White. I did some accenting with one of my “skinny” design polishes. This came in a 3-pack of a black, white, and glitter sliver. You can get these at walmart, target… pretty much any drug store. I really like them.
As always, thanks for stopping by! God Bless! 🙂
Happy Pink Wednesday to you! I am glad to say that I had time tonight to paint and fix, sorta (lol), and photograph my mani. Yay! I posted this morning not knowing if I’d have time tonight. Please pray for my husband and me. Our allergies are really kicking us. He had a nose bleed with clotting today. My cough won’t go. It’s no fun. We’d appreciate it. 🙂
Tonight’s post is very very pink! My base coat was 2 coats of Revlon’s Raspberry Rapture; complete with raspberry “parfume”. hee hee. I topped with my SV. I then taped off my ring fingers, one at a time, and painted the outer half corners with Sinful Colors’ Snow Me White, another layer of SV. I taped off again and added a coat of Essie’s Cute As A Button. Another coat of SV. I still wanted more so I then added a coat of Confetti’s Pink Confetti, which is a glitter, and it was done. lol. Let me remind you, I am NOT good with the taping technique. You’ll see that enough in this post. lol. But I hadn’t tried it in a while and thought, WHY NOT? I hope you like all the pinks! All photos here are without flash. Thanks for stopping by and for your patience. God Bless! ❤
