First, I hope you had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving holiday! I know here, our bellies were stuffed and our hearts are full. I’m very thankful for Salvation, for my wonderful husband, our family and many, many more that would take up the whole of this post. But, amongst the great things, I am thankful for the little things like morning kisses and reading as a family, for the cooking together and the laughter that always floats in the air. And! …I am also thankful for polish! 😉
Today’s mani is a first try for me. I’ve been wanting to do a metallic gradient forever! For the colors, I chose China Glaze’s “Harvest Moon” (Hunger Games collection) and Orly’s “Rage”. Both very glitzy-glam colors and both very sparkly. I first sponged Harvest Moon at the top halves of all my nails, followed with Rage at the tips and blended the two in the middle. It was a bit hard to tell if I’d blended them all since there was so much sparkle. 🙂 But I do like the outcome! After clean up, I topped with one coat of SV. I hope you like it! It’d be great for a Christmas mani! Have a blessed week! Thanks for stopping by for this very overdue edition of Lacquer Addictions! -Sara
Happy Tuesday to you! I hope your day is going well. I haven’t been able to post since our computer is on the verge of running out of memory and was at the dr. office. My husband is a graphic designer so… yeah. We had to buy more space. Hopefully it’ll be ok now.
Today’s post is of last night’s mani. I really liked this one. I used new Orly polishes. I started with two coats of “Green Apple” and topped it with SV. I then used “Green With Envy” (which is not an envy color to me, at all) to sponge. Of course, you should always blend so I used a little more of the Green Apple. I did another coat of SV and using Sinful Color’s “Snow Me White”, I stamped with plate BM-209 and topped with SV. I hope you like it! It’s very fun! Both of these photos are with flash. 🙂 Have a great one! God Bless and thanks for stopping by!
Happy Wednesday to you! 🙂 I hope you are doing well! Today is hump day which equals PINK! Unfortunately, not really (lol), I will not be sporting pink today. However, I will be posting pictures of last week’s that I didn’t get around to posting. I am still rocking my Orly blue navy and have just added gold stamp images. Love it! Anywho, back to rocking the pink! Here’s last weeks mani for Pink Wednesday!
My base color is China Glaze’s Flip Flop Fantasy (2 coats, SV) and on my ring finger, I sponged using China Glaze’s Rose Among Thorns (neon). I then used dotting tools dipped in Sinful Color’s Snow Me White. I really liked this mani. I hope you do too! These photos are with no flash.
Happy Wednesday to you! 🙂 This will be a quick post. I sponged this mani last night. I wanted something floral and girly. So I used China Glaze’s “Naked”. It’s such a pretty pink, reminds me of the crayola “ticke me pink” but with glitter. lol. I sponged this color first. I then used Confetti’s “Belle of the Ball”, which is a nice pastel, springy purple. I always go back and use the first color to help blend the two together. It came out really nice. I then took my white “skinny” nail polish and did a “not so good” flower pattern on my ring fingers and thumbs. lol. But, I like it. 🙂 Have a great day! God Bless!
Happy Friday to you! I’m calling today’s mani FUN FRIDAY. 🙂 I’ve been thinking of all the neon things I’ve seen and trying to think of something fun to do with my new Spoiled polishes. I found one! I decided to try a gradiant with a stamp! I’ve seen a lot of neon bases, mostly stripes, with crackle polishes that let the pretty colors come through, I’ve seen a lot of them use tape as well to let the color pop in. All very pretty. I wanted to use white. I hope you like the outcome. I was actually wow’ed with how bright it came out but luckily, I like it with my skin tone! Yay! Let me know what you think!
I started with Sinful Colors’ Snow Me White as a base to help pick up the actual color of the neons. If not, you won’t be able to pull this look off unless you can find a super opaque neon. I let it dry. I then took Spoiled’s pink color called “Tip Your Waitress“, the orange color called “Jail Bait” and the yellow called “Did I Dye It Too Blonde?” and sponged one color/row at a time until I liked the color. I then used BM-224, which my husband referred to as the girly alligator stamp, and stamped with Sinful Colors’ Snow Me White. Of course, I always top with SV.
I did alot of clean up since the sponging and stamping always will leave a mess. Sadly, I forgot to moisturize before taking the pictures (I was not a home for my mani and was rushing to get here. lol). So sorry if you see the after effects of acetone. 🙂
