LONG time no see Laquer addicts!
It has been an amazing journey since my last post. I have a 9 month old little boy who keeps me plenty busy. I was going through my blog, since it’s been a while since I’ve even opened it, and thought I’d share at least one mani I’ve done since then. 🙂 I am painting a little here and there- Mostly when I am going through my sleep roller coasters and cannot sleep. I no longer have a good camera and cannot take micro shots or even good color matching shots. That has also been a reason for not posting or blogging in a while. But… I hope you are doing great and your digits are wonderfully colored. Let’s get this going!
Below is a mani I did for my sister. She had just bought this beautiful Essie in Butler Please at Target and wanted to put it to work right away. This cream polish was a beaut from the shelf and even better once applied to your beds. It was a bit streaky but evened out with a second coat and some SV. I “unsuccessfully” stamped her ring nail with Bundle Monster’s 221 plate and had to free-hand some of them. I was so happy with the outcome and so was she! I then took some gold studs and glued them and topped everything off with Essie’s Matte About You. I do wish I had her skin color. 🙂 It’s so hard to photograph my nails and get the right tones with polish and my skin.
Happy painting to you! Thank you for stopping by! Blessings! ❤ Sara
Happy Friday to you! In my last post I said it’s never too late to do the good ol’ red , white and blue! Well, today my rhinestones came in! yay! Here is the picture of them. 🙂
And I really wanted to use them. So i got just a little too creative and then put myself in a rut. See what came of my rut! I did all but my ring fingers based in Orly’s “Haute Red” which in my opinion is a hot as red polish can get! It’s the perfect shade. It’s a great one coater but I did two to be safe. I then did my ring fingers in Sinful Colors’ “Snow Me White” and topped them all of wtih SV.
I then used reinforcement label to do a half moon on my ring fingers with “Blue Sparrow” by China Glaze. That was a first for me. And let me say it was harder than they made it sound! My moon was quite edgy. lol. But then again, my skinny fingers don’t like to allow tape and stuff to properly adhere to them so… Yeah! I had to touch up. I then added 3 red rhinestones to each and freehanded some accents in red. 🙂 Here’ s the outcome!

Happy Wednesday to you! 🙂 I hope you had a great day. My day was productive and I feel joyous and so thankful for so many different things. The verse I read today reminded me to stay focused; to focus on God’s love and remain in His love. So awesome the outcome when you set your heart and your mind on God. <3Today’s post is one I was not happy to post about, at all. It was my first attempt at anything tribal, which is such a big hit in the nail world right now. I have a stamp, plate number BM-221 (bundle monster collection) and it has a somewhat tribal image on it. Since I was going with the Pink Wednesday theme, I used white. I then got the (at the time) brilliant idea to do some fun stuff with black. Let me say that the pink I’m using is a very pretty pink with purple shimmer highlighter. Although, it was given to me as a gift and I have no idea what the brand or name of the color is. But my stamp was with Sinful Color’s Snow Me White and then used my little “skinny” black polish to do me ever so-bright-idea accents.
I did not like the outcome and I’m lacking in the free-hand department. But as with anything, you’ll have hits and you’ll have misses. This, was definitely a miss. lol. I like it from far away, when you’re not really concentrating on perfect lines and neatness. lol. But oh well. I’m going to post because it’s Pink Wednesday and I’m too happy not to. 🙂 Have a great day! Thanks for stopping to see my terrible tribal nail. God Bless! -Sara
Happy Friday to you! I’m thankful to say I am off today. It’s been a very long week. Today’s post is for a mani I did about 2 nights back. Just was that tired I didn’t even attempt to post. But today is good. Both colors are new purchases Spoiled and Confetti polishes (available at your local CVS). As you may have read in my previous posts with the brand Spoiled, the colors are great! They all go on very nicely; opaque and smooth. But the big down side is the friggin brush! So as far as my drugstore brands, Sinful Colors and Confetti are the toppers. 🙂
My base color is Confetti’s Belle of the Ball (#071). It’s a very pretty cream lavender color. I did 2 coats of this and then topped it off with a coat of SV. I then used plate BM-221- the cheetah image- and stamped with Spoiled’s Are Mermaids Real. This color is gorgeous! It’s a nice purple with gold shimmer/fine glitter. I love it! Unfortunately my hands were not as “photogenic” (LOL!) as they usually are. So I only have one picture. But I hope you like it.
Happy Monday to you… it’s late. 🙂 I did my nails in a new color. It’s called Pumping Gas by Spoiled, a wet’n’wild brand. Again, the brushes are big and the bristles are heavy. Lot of clean up. But as for the color, i love the color. I did 2 coats of this and topped it off with my SV. At this moment, I did not notice that the i only eat salad green color i previously swatched had stained my skin. -_- sorry that it shows up. lol. But, the color is nice. Lol. 🙂 I then decided to go matte. So I then topped that with Essie’s Matte About You. Yay!
So I then wanted to do a zebra stamp. Lots of steps tonight. I used BM-223, the zebra image. I decided to use another new color called I’m Ba-Roque. The outcome was nice.
Have a great week everyone! Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!
