LONG time no see Laquer addicts!
It has been an amazing journey since my last post. I have a 9 month old little boy who keeps me plenty busy. I was going through my blog, since it’s been a while since I’ve even opened it, and thought I’d share at least one mani I’ve done since then. 🙂 I am painting a little here and there- Mostly when I am going through my sleep roller coasters and cannot sleep. I no longer have a good camera and cannot take micro shots or even good color matching shots. That has also been a reason for not posting or blogging in a while. But… I hope you are doing great and your digits are wonderfully colored. Let’s get this going!
Below is a mani I did for my sister. She had just bought this beautiful Essie in Butler Please at Target and wanted to put it to work right away. This cream polish was a beaut from the shelf and even better once applied to your beds. It was a bit streaky but evened out with a second coat and some SV. I “unsuccessfully” stamped her ring nail with Bundle Monster’s 221 plate and had to free-hand some of them. I was so happy with the outcome and so was she! I then took some gold studs and glued them and topped everything off with Essie’s Matte About You. I do wish I had her skin color. 🙂 It’s so hard to photograph my nails and get the right tones with polish and my skin.
Happy painting to you! Thank you for stopping by! Blessings! ❤ Sara
It’s late. My husband and I are addicted to the show The Office. I’ve never been a fan of dry humor. It usually just annoys me and leaves no room for humor. I don’t know what it is about this show, but it makes me laugh. 🙂 So that was that. During the shows, I usually paint- in between laughing and looking up and down- and tonight I decided to go with a purple. I’ve posted “Bite the Bullet” before. But I didn’t really care for it. So here is another attempt.
Again, I want to use my Red Angel stamp collection. This time I went with plate RA-104. I did 2 coats of Wet’N’Wild’s “Bite the Bullet” (which is a pretty lavender/lilac color) and then topped it with SV. It then stamped using Color Club’s “Rad Nomad” (which is a gray color). Both polishes are creams and I liked the outcome.
Happy Monday bloggers and readers. I hope you had a great day. I really dislike Mondays. But, my nails were happy. I did this many last night but didn’t have time to upload or write or edit anything. I’ve been doing the “heart” and “pink” thing lately. Although the other night, I did use an Ulta brand, teal color. It was a really pretty color and before doing this mani, of course, I removed that polish… and at the end, my skin was stained blue! Grr. I used acetone and toothpaste until it came off but that was not fun. >:[
So, this is Essie’s “Cute As A Button”. I love the color of this polish. It was a gift. The only negative I have to mention is that it’s streaky. I did mostly 2 coats on all my nails, with the exception of 2. I then topped it off with my SV to prep and dry for stamping.
As for designs, I felt like stamping. I haven’t really played with anymore of the Red Angel stamps I purchased so I was going through them and found a pretty heart image. I was happy to have hearts and decided to do another Valentine themed mani. I used plate RA-114. I stamped with Confetti’s “Last Dance” which is just a few shades darker and I liked the outcome. And finally, here is the finished look. 🙂 I hope you like it! Have a great week! God Bless!
Happy Thursday! I’ve decided to try out my new stamps from Red Angel. I used plate RA-109. I love these plates! I hope you like them too. As for my colors, I did 2 base coats of my Color Club Shabby Drab, which I mistakenly labeled. LOL. I did 2 coats of that and then one coat of my fast dry Seche Vite top coat. I then stamped using my Ulta Wild Night. I love love love this color combo. I wasn’t expecting it to be such a good stamping polish? But I like it. 🙂 So here it goes!
*** polish name was mistaken. it’s actually RAD NOMAD found out later. Sorry. ***
As for today’s post, I wanted something dark and something stamped. 🙂 I haven’t shown my gray so I went with my Color Club’s “Blue Topia”, which to me is gray. I did my base coat and then did two coats of the topia. Let it dry. Then I stamped using BM-221. I’ve made one other posting using this image. I love florals. So, I stamped-using Sinful Color’s Black on Black- and topped it off with my SV. You can see a bit of gray in the pictures, from my clean-up, so sorry. But I hope you like it. Have a great Thursday!
