Me + Blue

29 Oct

Happy Monday!!! I’m hoping that your day will go great! Since I often get a case of the Mondays, I thought some glitter might give me some oomph through out the day. 🙂

This is Nicole’s (by OPI) “Me + Blue”. It’s a pretty blue polish with holographic glitter. Eeks! My one and only. lol. I’m more of a budget polish addict. Lol! So when I snagged this one I was excited! I did 2 coats of this blue bute with a coat of SV. I do have to say that the formula is quite lumpy and gritty, which made me sad since it made for sad pictures. But, from at a glance, you can’t tell. Now to us painters, that’s not what matters since everyone likes to pick up your hand and examine them super closely. But, all the same, I am happy to have a holo! Any suggestions on how to make it less gritty? Thanks for stopping by! Happy painting and God Bless! ❤ Sara *all pictures are without flash*

Denim to Earth

9 Aug

welcome back to Lacquer Addictions! 🙂 It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to post! Things finally feel like they’re starting to wind down. We still have a lot going on, the Lord’s work never stops, but it’s nice to take a breather every few days.

Today’s post is a new color. I got my hands on a pretty, duo-toned Nicole polish. In the bottle, it’s a deep blue with gray tones but purple shimmers. One way you see the blues and the other you see the purples. I love it! I did two coats on all of my nails. Again, in some lighting, you see the blue, sometimes it looks black, and others you can faintly see the purples. It was very hard to photograph. I then did one coat of one of Essie’s “luxe effects” polishes- Shine of the Times. I didn’t like the whole thing in flakes so I opted for an accent of the flakes. I went over that and left a small side of the flakes peaking through. I really liked the outcome. I then accented my thumbs with the same flake polish. It feels good to paint and post. I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by! I definitely missed this. God Bless!

Sounds Grape to Me!

22 Apr

Happy Saturday to you all!!! I am back! Woo! It’s been a great week! Sorry it’s been a while since my last post. I started a new job/position this week and I’ve been super busy with my church and the youth group there. God is doing great things! My nails, again, have been rather neglected. I am struggling with weak corners and them chipping. Grr! I dont know WHAT happened, all of a sudden, now my corners break often. 😦

But… I recently found this one at Target for $2! ^_^ Clearance!!! Lol! The OPI-Nicole brand usually run about $7-8. woo! I was excited to snag this one! The application is really good! Goes on opaque. I wanted more glitter so I did 2 coats and one coat of SV. It’s a maroon/purple color with glitters that go from gold to bronze, some orange. Such a pretty color! I hope you like it!

All these pictured here (which is a lot since I could not make up my mind) are without flash! Thanks for stopping by! God Bless and have a “grape” weekend! ^_^

Tyin’ the Knot!

17 Jan

Happy Monday to you! ^_^ I hope that your weekend was enjoyable. Happy MLK day. I’m thankful for the day off. Back to work tomorrow. I have a few bottles I still have not used. One being, Tyin’ the Knot! (punctuation marks included). This is by Sally Hansen, the Diamond Strength brand. I love this color. I did 2 coats and let dry. I was going to stamp it but opted for texture instead. I used Nicole’s (by OPI) Black Texture. I was dissapointed in the dullness of my texture top coat, it was kinda dull and gray. But once I added my SV top coat, it was like, BAM! I’m here and I’m texture! LOL! 😀 So, needless to say, I was very happy. I hope you like it!

I hope you have a blessed week! Thanks for stopping by!

This next one, is Mint Apple by Sinful Colors. The top coat is Nicole’s (by OPI) textur in black. I love this look. 🙂
Like I said, these are some pictures of previous manis. I first posted these on my Pinterest account so if you’ve seen them, that was before I had my logo. lol. I’ll get some new stuff posted soon. Thank you. 🙂
