Hello and happy Thursday! I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July holiday. Happy Birthday, America! Woo! I was suppose to do a tribute mani but lacked the time and motivation to do so. So… I may just do one anyway. It’s never too late to sport the good ol’ red white and blue!
Ok. So the other day I posted the Fast Track-Matte mani. Click here to view. 🙂 I wore this for an interview. Yay! I really liked it. Well Funky Nails had given me 2 other glitter polishes I’ve yet to get to and swatch for her. (Sorry, Minnie!) So this post is the view of what I did to my nails that night after my interview day. I played with the “sandwich” idea. Here’s how: I had my base color, added one/two coats of Fatigues and let it dry. I then added another coat of Fast Track. I wanted to keep it matte so I added Essies’ Matte About You. It came out ok. Next time I will try a different combo. My Fast Track by China Glaze is on the thick side (the whole Hunger Games collection is, really) so I was scared the glitter wouldn’t show up at all. Trial and error. 🙂
But anyway, here is my post for FATIGUES by Funky Nails! Fatigues is part of her mini-collection called “For The Troops”!
She describes Fatigues as “Yellow, green, silver, black, gold glitter in a clear base”. I liked it on top of Fast Track.
the sandwich effect. *with flash*
Happy Friday world! I have an interview today! 🙂 Please pray for me. I’m excited. I wanted to stay away from tips-very cliche’. So I opted for a clean calm color.
This is 2 coats of China Glaze’s “Fast Track” (of the Hunger Games Collection) and one coat of Essie’s “Matte About You”. I really like the outcome. The matte really makes the glitter go “pop!” These pictures are without flash. Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by and God Bless you! -Sara
Hola! 🙂 This is the second mani I did this week (painted them last night and wore today).
I reallly like Stone Cold. The only down side is it’s super thick and can be globby in application. This is a matte polish. I love it. But, i also thought the glitter in it should be more sparkly so I topped it with SV. I’m so glad I did, too. The color of the polish was just give some ooomph. I hope you like it! 🙂
Happy Monday to you… it’s late. 🙂 I did my nails in a new color. It’s called Pumping Gas by Spoiled, a wet’n’wild brand. Again, the brushes are big and the bristles are heavy. Lot of clean up. But as for the color, i love the color. I did 2 coats of this and topped it off with my SV. At this moment, I did not notice that the i only eat salad green color i previously swatched had stained my skin. -_- sorry that it shows up. lol. But, the color is nice. Lol. 🙂 I then decided to go matte. So I then topped that with Essie’s Matte About You. Yay!
So I then wanted to do a zebra stamp. Lots of steps tonight. I used BM-223, the zebra image. I decided to use another new color called I’m Ba-Roque. The outcome was nice.
Have a great week everyone! Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!
Today has been one of those days. I found out my email account was hacked into. I had to go delete it and change a lot of things, including password for this! And… in all the mess I didn’t get to write this one down. So it took me forever to figure out the new password here and then just recreate it. SIGH! But, I hope I’m safe now. I always freak out about stuff like that.
Anywho, I read earlier this month that orange (according to refinery29) is going to be a BIG hit this year in nail color. So, I have one that I have not posted… or used lately. So, today I am going to show you Confetti’s “Conga Line”. I love this color! I will post a few pictures of the polish with 2 coats and a coat of SV. Later I decided I wanted a matte. So I topped that with Essie’s “matte about you”. I am very happpy with this polish. I hope you like it! Go buy you a bottle of orange. 🙂
