Leap Flog

28 Sep

Happy Friday! I am thankful to say that I am off today. Woo Hoo! So, last night I took off my polish and tried a new color. This is Sinful Colors’ “Leap Flog”. I have to say that I really liked this color on my skin. It’s really hard for me to get colors that compliment my skin tone rather than make it look darker or really make the red undertones come up. That’s no fun. But this color does me good.

As I said on Monday, my nail broke and once one of them breaks, I have to file them all down so they grow evenly. I hate uneven nails. I just can’t do it. So, they are super short. But, short nails can be cute too… if I didn’t have such a bad habit of picking at the sides of my nails. I have been moisturizing like crazy but with my naturally super dry skin (I have eczema) it’s hard. But I love to paint so oh well. So, please forgive any icks and ews you may see here. 🙂

I did 2 coats and then let dry. I then used stamp plate BM-204. I’ve never used this image before and thought since Fall just rolled around, I’d use it, even though I didn’t use “fall” colors. My stamping colors were Wet’N’Wild’s “Metallica” and Sinful Colors’ “Black on Black”. I first did a stroke of Metallica and right below that, a stroke of Black on Black. I scraped once and a few more times to blend the colors. I really like the outcome of this! I will be doing more duo-color stamping. Yay! I hope you like it! thank you for stopping by for another posting of Lacquer Addictions! I’m so happy you’re here!

Dotted Rainbow

22 Apr

Happy Sunday to you! 🙂 Today is the day that the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it!

Today’s post is one of joy and gratitude. My heart is so full today! This is my first all dotted mani, ever! I have to say it was a challenge, especially trying to line up my dots. Some of them wound up touching. eek. lol. But overall, for my first try, I really like this one.  I hope you do too.

I started with 2 coats of my Sinful Colors “Snow Me White” and topped it with one coat of SV. I picked up my tool and went to work! I topped it off with one last coat of SV.  I’m adding a photo of all the colors together with my “color wheel” and tool. The names are listed on the bottles’ tops in white. You may have to zoom in. sorry. lol. Yay for rainbow dots! Have a great one! Thanks for stopping by!

Sugar Coat

29 Mar

Happy Thursday to you. 🙂 I hope you had a happy “hump day”. The weekend is not far off. Prasie God! lol.

Today’s post is by Wet’n’Wild, the megalast collection. It’s a delicate pink. Makes me think of the infomercials that zoom in on ladies holding “exquisite” costume jewelry. lol. The only down side is that it’s streaky when applying. Not fun. This is all with base coats, two coats of polish, and my SV. You can still see the streaks. blah. But, I like the simply, lady-likeness of this color. A friend at work was sporting a nice pink and made me want to try it. 😉

New Purchases

26 Feb

Happy weekend lacquer addicts! 🙂 I hope you’re off to a great start. I had to work today. I had a prescription to pick up from CVS today after work. And don’t you know, right when I walked in, they had a new display of a new brand of lacquer? It’s Spoiled by wet’n’wild. I had to grab them! They have gorgeous colors and lots of glitters. eeks! I also snagged 2 more Confetti polishes. I’ll post all the colors I bought today. I hope you like them! I have to swatch and review them after this.

Left: “Pumping Gas” Middle: “Jewelry Heist” Right: “I’m Ba-Roque”

Left: “I Only Eat Salads” Right: “Tazmanian Devil”

Bite the Bullet… again

14 Feb

It’s late. My husband and I are addicted to the show The Office. I’ve never been a fan of dry humor. It usually just annoys me and leaves no room for humor. I don’t know what it is about this show, but it makes me laugh. 🙂 So that was that. During the shows, I usually paint- in between laughing and looking up and down- and tonight I decided to go with a purple. I’ve posted “Bite the Bullet” before. But I didn’t really care for it. So here is another attempt.

Again, I want to use my Red Angel stamp collection. This time I went with plate RA-104. I did 2 coats of Wet’N’Wild’s “Bite the Bullet” (which is a pretty lavender/lilac color) and then topped it with SV. It then stamped using Color Club’s “Rad Nomad” (which is a gray color).  Both polishes are creams and I liked the outcome.
